Abstract

Healthcare supply chain management has become increasingly important as healthcare organizations strive to deliver high-quality patient care while controlling operational costs. This study investigates healthcare supply chain management practices in Jordan, with particular emphasis on inventory management, procurement strategies, logistics, supplier relationships, and transportation processes. A mixed-methods research approach was adopted, combining an extensive review of the relevant literature with quantitative data collected from healthcare professionals through structured questionnaires. The findings indicate that effective supplier evaluation, inventory management systems, logistics partnerships, and quality assurance practices play a significant role in improving healthcare supply chain performance. The study also identifies several challenges, including demand forecasting, procurement risks, inventory costs, and technology adoption. Based on the findings, strategic recommendations are proposed to strengthen supply chain resilience, improve operational efficiency, enhance patient safety, and support sustainable decision-making in Jordanian healthcare organizations.
