The escalating energy consumption of large-scale data centers, driven by the proliferation of cloud computing services, has become a significant environmental concern. Green computing and cloud optimization strategies have emerged as pivotal solutions to mitigate this issue. This paper explores the integration of green computing principles with cloud optimization techniques to reduce energy consumption in data centers. By examining current practices, technological advancements, and case studies, the study highlights the effectiveness of energy-efficient hardware, renewable energy integration, and intelligent resource management in achieving sustainable data center operations. The findings underscore the importance of adopting green computing frameworks to not only enhance environmental sustainability but also improve operational efficiency and reduce operational costs. The paper concludes with recommendations for future research and implementation strategies to further advance energy-efficient practices in data centers.
